Is there a way to control the autoformatting of numbers by voice? i'd like a way to make all numbers that i am saying from now on to be spelled out - or not. so something that toggles whether '5' or 'five' gets typed. 'numbers mode' doesn't help, since I am dictating text as well.
i find it tedious having to go through 'correct that', and then choose the formatting, and then answer the autoformatting question. If I would want to create such a command, what would it look like? (In case it doesn't exist yet?)

There are different ways to accomplish this, and here is the past of least resistance.
Go to "Tools - Auto-Formatting-Optons", and remove the checkmark in "Numbers, if greater than or equal to". This will format any number spelled out by default. To override the setting, manually, precede the number by saying "numeral". -------------------------
