I know there's a topic on this in the Dragon Speech Recognition forum but there doesn't appear to be any updates recently. I am using DMPE 4.3 and dictate inside of Chrome. I will be able to dictate for several hours without any issues but then suddenly I get a message that says 'It appears that the Dragon extension for Chrome has been disabled or uninstalled.' If I click the "Restore" button it brings up the Chrome web store and my only option is to "Remove from Chrome" even removing it and adding it back doesn't fix it. I have to close Chrome and re-open Chrome to fix it.
This tends to happen about once per day. Anyone know how to fix this?

Your Chrome extension is likely working fine. This is a Dragon false error. Just check the box that says Do not ask me again and you are set. ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |

I should mention that when this pops up I can no longer dictate inside Chrome. Any time I push the button to start dictating this pops up again and even if I try to dictate nothing happens.

Have you tried putting a check mark in Do not ask me again, clicking the No thanks button, closing and re-launching Chrome? This should permanently prevent the error message ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |

When I use the Chrome extension and dictate directly into Chrome, voice correction does not work. Is this expected behavior?
If so, I suppose using the Dictation Box is the only alternative, yes? |

Yes but this is a good reason to try Microsoft Edge which you can count working better when Nuance releases the next patch. It is time to swith browers

Is there going to be an "next patch"? Dictating into Edge, Firefox or Chrome (for me) seems to work well for about 5 minutes then something goes wacko and I have to disable to extension. I've just gotten use to dictation without the extensions, but it would be nice to have them functional.

A lot of end-users, including us, lose Dragon support in Google Chrome after about 5 minutes but have never had any problems with Microsoft Edge so we permanently switched. The unverified scuttlebutt has it that another DPI 15 patch is on the way. We suspect Nuance is working on the Jumping Page issue, Windows 11 compatibility and new support for Microsoft Edge; which is already available to DPG 15.71 users. Microsoft may not be too keen about Google Chrome and Firefox support
