Do not confuse our new KnowBrainer modified "Hybrid Plantronics CS55" wireless headset microphone offering with standard Plantronics CS55 units sold by other vendors. Our new "Hybrid Plantronics CS55" not only handles standard telephone conversations like it's predecessor, but also doubles as the world's most accurate speech-recognition microphone we have ever tested. We have tested hundreds of microphones (headset, voice array and desktop models) with speech recognition software for over 14 years and we have never come across anything this accurate. Our previous favorite microphone was the wired KnowBrainer Sennheiser (modified ME3) headset microphone but independent, real world tests has raised the CS55 to the top.
The reason why we refer to this new microphone as “Hybrid” is because it includes a number of KnowBrainer proprietary modifications which include additional cabling and a specialized rocker switch that will allow you to seamlessly switch from wirelessly talking on the phone to wirelessly talking to your computer. Sennheiser ME3 versus Hybrid Plantronics CS55
Test 1: ME3 = 96% CS55 = 98% (CS55 = 50% higher accuracy)
Test 2: ME3 = 97% CS55 = 98% (CS55 = 25% higher accuracy)
Test 3: ME3 = 98% CS55 = 99% (CS55 = 25% higher accuracy)
Test 4: ME3 = 99% CS55 =100% (CS55 = 25% higher accuracy)
We should further note that although we found the Hybrid Plantronics CS55 microphone to be exceptionally noise canceling (which included clapping playing loud music without producing an error). The Sennheiser ME3 scored a little higher on the noise rejection tests but you should have no problem using the CS55 in most work environments.
