UniVoice 10 Released
Demand for UniVoice has exceeded our expectations at KnowBrainer and, as a result, we're pleased to bring you the latest release of UniVoice, 10.0. With versions available for NaturallySpeaking 9 and 10 for Windows PCs, UniVoice extends the usability of NaturallySpeaking (and related programs like KnowBrainer) by provided users with a universal, pre-trained NaturallySpeaking user file. UniVoice only requires users to run the Audio Setup Wizard to set the volume level of their microphone, vs. the extensive voice training that is normally required to achieve high accuracy levels in NaturallySpeaking. UniVoice is not gender, age, or accent specific.
Digital Recorder Use
It normally takes about a half-hour to create a digital recorder user profile. We found transcribing a digital recording onto UniVoice to be just as accurate as a trained digital recorder user profile. At first glance, this may not seem profound but consider that for the first time you can record interviews between opposite genders and transcribe both parties simultaneously. You can even record reasonably well in conference mode and speaking of conferences... as long as no one dictates over the top of another speaker, you can even record a conference. Transcriptionists can finally retire their keyboards because as long as you use a high-quality digital recorder, like the DS-5000, UniVoice can transcribe everyone.
