In my quest for a better WSR (and eventually DNS 10)I have replaced my microphone with a wireless one. After some research the Plantronics CS50-USB is the one that I have decided on. However, now that I have been using it for it for a day I firmly believe that I need to start WSR over from the beginning. I have tried to retrain WSR to correct for the differences between microphones but some things I can't seem to change such as "page up", "end", and "cancel". I am assuming there's a file somewhere that I can delete to start from the beginning. If so does anyone know where the file is and what is it's name?

Your best bet to start again in WSR is to start a complete new profile. The one that you are using at the moment being your old one, will be there under the name you chose. Start a new one with a slightly different name. To do this:-
Start Menu > control panel >speech recognition >advanced speech options >new >type in a new name for a completely new profile. Once you have done this, then you will need to set up your microphone in the control panel > speech recognition options. After that, in the same area, take the speech tutorial and then after that, also in the same area, train your computer to better understand you. Once you have done all these things you will have a completely new profile starting from scratch. You can start as many new profiles as you want if you want to. Just give each new profile a different name so that you know which one is which. HTH ------------------------- Tiger Feet |
