I been using Yahoo! Mail forever and I do not want to change e-mail addresses. But all of a sudden my primary e-mail address has become almost overrun with spam. I have tried continuously marking messages as spam but it almost does nothing to prevent you from getting them again as far as I can tell. I even upgraded to the new version of Yahoo! Mail and all that did was make it more difficult to use Dragon with my e-mail.

We have a major preference for Outlook over Yahoo because you're at the mercy of your browser rather than a dedicated fully NaturallySpeaking supported local application featuring Active Accessibility and Full Text Control. Another advantage of Outlook is the ability to easily utilize colors, highly specialized formatting and even embedded hyperlinks. This is because Outlook includes a slightly stripped-down version of Microsoft Word built right in. This is also how we create those embedded hyperlinks and the various font colors and highlighting that you see in our forum responses. Another reason why we're mentioning Outlook is that it includes excellent tools for blocking professional spam, as opposed to the sleazy crap that keeps changing its name every few minutes and is sent to undisclosed recipients. For example, let's say you make the mistake of purchasing a program from Nuance. Once Nuance has your e-mail address, they will send you a seemingly constant endless barrage of messages about everything they sell on their website. If you feel like you might've made a mistake purchasing from some company like CDW, Tiger soft, etc. It's easy to permanently block them in Outlook and if you're using KnowBrainer 2011, you can just say Permanently Block to delete the current message and permanently block (meaning bypassing the trashcan) all future messages. It Nuance needs to reach us, they will have to pick up the phone -------------------------

Lunis
I installed the program yesterday and it seems to be working extremely well. I was wondering if there is any way to add a sender to the spam list? I'm currently using it without the toolbar. I'm hoping it's something I will be able to do without having to resort to using the toolbar. |

Unfortunately we cannot tell you how the application works with Yahoo because we use Microsoft Outlook. All we can tell you is that in Microsoft Outlook, we have a small icon that changes to a spam blocking tool when we highlight a message so that we have the option of blocking it. There is also a different, icon in the spam folder, to reverse the process.

Is the button you use to accomplish this on a toolbar? Right now I am running the software without a toolbar, because I find extra toolbars to be annoying. Possibly in order to do this I need to be running the software with a toolbar.

All we can give you is a semi-qualified “possibly” on the toolbar question because we don't use Yahoo. You will have to try this out yourself. We don't know the answer because we only use Outlook and Gmail and we only use Gmail on our iPad and cell phone.

I suppose I will simply have to reinstall the software and see how everything goes. Overall I'm very pleased with the performance of the software. Thank you for the recommendation.
