Is there a way to get XP to remember what a sound pod is from one day to the next? All my machines use ASUS boards, Andrea USB sound pods and Win 2000--except one. They all work perfectly but the new XP Pro machine has no idea what a sound pod is or how to use it when flipped on. The devices and drivers are all installed and working perfectly, it claims, but greyed out in the control panel. I've reinstalled the crummy ASUS boardware, rooted through endless reams of MS Newspeak and run their moronic wizards ad nauseam.  Until Linux supports DNS, is there a way to save preferences in XP so the sound pod and speakers work from one day to the next without reinstalling everything?

PORTUGUESEINTERPRETER.COM ,

When you create the user training profile, Dragon remembers the ADC (Analog to Digital Converter - AKA Soundcard or USB sound pod) used at that time for future sessions.

Are your Andrea USB pods the standard half duplex pods? These require a separate cable for sound playback through earphones.

Do you have your sound card connected to the computer when you boot? This should set the USB pod as the default recording device.
