Haven't been on the forum for a while, I see that the 6-in-1 has shipped. Haven't seen any comments on it yet, does that mean they are working great?

The SpeechWare 6-in-1 TableMike is selling out significantly faster than we anticipated. We only have 7 remaining units in stock but they are identical to the third-generation SpeechWare 3-in-1 TableMike with the following exceptions:
1. Priced $30 higher 2. Includes a USB port 3. Includes a built-in speaker for VoIP applications (only works in the bluelight bypass setting) 4. Includes an option to add a $79 foot pedal for turning the microphone on and off or as a momentary on switch 5. 4 inch longer gooseneck featuring a gooseneck at both ends of the microphone as opposed to just the base end as in the 3-in-1 We have a slight preference to the 3-in-1 except in situations where 1 of the previously mentioned amenities is important. -------------------------

Any other reason for the preference for the 3-in-1 besides the $30 difference? I can see the longer neck being useful. By the way, loving my 3-in1, thinking about getting another one for at home. -------------------------

There is no difference between the 3-in-1 and 6-in-1 other than the previously mentioned 5 points.

Sorry did I miss something! We are already on third-generation 3-in-1 ? When did that happen?

Akhavan, I think you're misreading what has been posted. There is no third generation SpeechWare 3-in-1. I think you're confusing the SpeechWare 6-in-1 with the SpeechWare 3-in-1. Both are second-generation. The only difference is that they six and one has more features, including support for a foot pedal and a built-in speaker. Otherwise, they are both using the second-generation system board. You didn't miss anything, you simply are misinterpreting what's being presented.Chuck Runquist "The problem with communication is the illusion that is has occurred."- George Bernard Shaw -------------------------

In order to identify each generation of 3-in-1 and 6-in-1 microphones, we have applied the following loose in house generic terms to the Speechware microphones on our website. Here is the breakdown:
First-generation 2-in-1 = discontinued dual microphone element First-generation 3-in-1 = original recipe Second-generation 3-in-1 = removing the resistor from the back of the original microphone and replacing the circuit board which included the new de-clicking algorithm. Note that all 1st generation 3-in-1 microphones were recalled for a complimentary second-generation circuit board but many units were never returned because we couldn't get our customers to send them back. Third-generation 3-in-1 is exactly the same as the 2nd generation except that the microphone input jack is a little hotter to accommodate larger microphone elements such as those found in the Audio-Technica Pro 8HEmW and the Sennheiser MD431 II. Note that most end users will probably never want to use a secondary microphone but it's nice to know you have the option. First-generation 6-in-1 = literally a large bulky antique from several years ago Second-generation 6-in-1 = identical to the third-generation 3-in-1 with the previously mentioned 5 additional amenities -------------------------
