Just to let anyone know that the new SpeechWare 6-in-1 is now available in the UK at the website below. You will be able to purchase directly from the website in the next few days but in the meantime just e-mail me on lindsay@pcbyvoice.com and I will send today for delivery tomorrow.

Having been using it for the last few hours the biggest improvement over the 3-in-1 is the length of the boom which gives considerably easier access when in a wheelchair. The speaker is also a welcome addition.

SpeechWare 3-in-1 is also now back in stock.

Lindsay

Lunis I hope you don't mind me posting this

Lindsay, I am confident that Lunis will have absolutely no objection to you making such a posting on the KnowBrainer forum. You are not even a viable threat his vast speech recognition empire located somewhere in the Tennessee woods.

One very important feature to highlight that comes with both these units, should be highlighted.

When the switch under the base of the unit is moved to "Always On", the microphone unit automatically powers up/initialises when a computer is switched back on or powers up when attached to the computer.

Quite often people with disabilities dependent upon Dragon/KnowBrainer are reliant upon a third-party being present to switch the microphone back on, after a computer has been restarted.

Combine this with your own utility SpeechStart, once a computer has been switched on in the morning, a disables user is more or less independent for their daily computing requirements.

bb,

I can't say I know very much about the Tennessee woods but I do know we are no threat in terms of selling microphones, particularly from the other side of the Atlantic, as we only sell a couple to hopefully make us a one-stop shop for DNS. Nonetheless it is generous of Lunis allow us to include website details on his forum.

The setting to which you refer is the default setting so I did not feel compelled to mention it, basically you plug it in and leave it alone. Drive up to it when you want to dictate and wander off and leave it when you don't. Nonetheless thanks for pointing it out.

Lindsay

The vast Tennessee wooded speech recognition empire seems to be mainly comprised of turkeys, raccoons, deer, marauding bands of rock pebble throwing grey squirrels and the occasional cougar (no reference to the Big Haired Lady intended).

SpeechWare UK stock usually arrives 2 - 3 days in advance of our stock but that gives us advance warning to send out reminders to our North American customers that are on a waiting list. In the meantime, we are taking slightly advanced orders on the
SpeechWare 3-in-1 and SpeechWare 6-in-1.

Well the Tennessee woods sounds like the ideal place to sit with a pair of binoculars and a bottle of Jack Daniels!

Well, it's past the point where we can make any changes in the code, but we can still make changes to the Easter Egg!
