Awhile back when the Buddy USB 7G came out and apparently didn't work well with some mikes, there was talk about the next generation from Buddy. Does anyone know where we are on this? Also, now that the Speechware 3-in-1 is out there, are they planning on releasing a new USB sound card that may incorporate some of the things that their 3-in-1 mike incorporates? Thanks! ------------------------- DNS 12.0 Pro (KnowBrainer + VoiceComputer - latest versions) Buddy 7G (2nd gen) USB + Sennheiser MD 431 II - Toshiba Satellite Core™ i7 2670QM laptop 4 cores/8 threads 6 MB L3 cache 6 GB DDR3 RAM (1333 MHz) + MacBook Pro with Retina display (i7 2.7 Ghz); 16 GB RAM; 8 MB of L3 chache; 751 GB Solid State Drive (using Parallels 8 with Boot Camp). |

InSync, the manufacturers of the Buddy 7G USB soundcard, have decided not to revamp the Buddy 7G at this time so we recommend against using larger microphone elements such as the Airline 77, Q7, MD431 II, Pro 8HEmW, ME3, or KnowBrainer hands-free because the Buddy 7G will get hot and fail. TheBoom and VXI line of microphones will work, as will most consumer grade microphone such as Plantronics and Logitech.
In about a month, we will be receiving a standalone prototype of the USB soundcard that's included in the SpeechWare 3-in-1. If all goes well, this unit could go into production 2 months later. -------------------------
