Just received an email describing a new product by Jawbone, makers of bluetooth mikes for cell phones. The "Nerd" appears to be a bluetooth USB card which plugs into the computer and connects to what appears to a standard Jawbone earpiece. I wonder if this would/could be useful when travelling for DNS dictation?

What you describe may very well be an interesting innovation that might work with DNS. However, in the past there have been innovations like this, such as the Creative Labs USB soundcard that were a total bust. Therefore, unless you want to try spending the money to be the first guinea pig, remember an additional iteration of Murphy's Law: Beware of geeks bearing gifts.

While such an innovation might improve the connection, it won't improve the fact that Bluetooth is less than ideal for speech recognition anyway. Bluetooth is still not ready for prime time with DNS.
