Hi there,

I have a sennheiser headset connected on an Andrea USB POD under XP.

In the volume properties accessed via windows tray icon, if I try to adjust audio properties, under "voice" pane / voice recording (AK5370) /volume / advanced setting , there is an AGC (Automatic gain control ) that can be checked or unchecked.

What is best for voice recognition in DNS ?

IS there a differecen there between version 8 and veriosn 9 ?

Serge

On most systems, the Sennheiser Headset/Andrea USB sound pod does not require any additional gain. In fact, if you use the Audio Setup Wizard in Dragon, you will not need to touch the automatic gain control as the levels are set automatically for you.

Among several things, Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 9 is initially easier to train than Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 8. In addition, the Preferred and Professional editions as a specific Bluetooth headset user training profile which works very well if you have a Bluetooth headset.

Check out our DNS 9 Review which compares Ver. 8 to Ver. 9.
