Hi

Just wondering if anyone can advise me on this 

Just got a new toshiba A100 Laptop.  At work I run DNS v8.01.  I connect to my work desktop remotely which has DNS installed on it  However, whenever I try and run it remotely, it comes up with an error message stating that it can't locate audio hardware.  It goes on to say I should check whether my compter has multimedia audio capability.

Any suggestions would be welcome.  Do I need to buy an external sound card?

Please excuse us if we misinterpreted your question but it appears that you are trying to run NaturallySpeaking remotely and that simply isn't possible.  That would be equivalent to using the keyboard on your office computer from your home computer.  Try to imagine the difficulty of your notebook computer microphone attempting to access the soundcard on your networked office computer.  NaturallySpeaking can only be run on the computer that you are physically using.  You can use NaturallySpeaking as a keyboard over a network to control another computer.  We do this all the time.
 
It might be easier to think of NaturallySpeaking as an alternative keyboard input device.  You can use it to send keystrokes and even global (ONLY) commands to a networked computer as long as you are running NaturallySpeaking from the computer you are physically using.  If you are operating a computer remotely, don't bother launching NaturallySpeaking on the remote computer because it will have no effect.
