I am still using my Dragon Naturally Speaking Version 4. I have been using it many, many years and I get excellent accuracy from it. (That version was not compatible with subsequent versions so I could never upgrade.) I have tried subsequent versions several times, most recently version 10, but I could never achieve the accuracy that I get with my Version 4. (I have multiple Macros trained in that version, and I just could never get them to work in the subsequent versions. I just purchased the Olympus DS-7000. I installed the software and downloaded the files. For DNS version 4, I need the files in 11 kHz sampling 16 bit format. (That seems to be the only option.) The Olympus software does not give me the option to convert to 11 kHz. The files produced by the software are 44kHZ. There is a conversion option, but does not include 11 kHz. Any solutions to converting the files produced with the Olympus DS-7000 recorder to the format to be able to transcribe with DNS Version 4? |

Which other options does it have then, close to it? And which format? Rüdiger ------------------------- Well, it's past the point where we can make any changes in the code, but we can still make changes to the Easter Egg! |

Welcome to the World's Most Popular Speech Recognition Forum
Recent versions of NaturallySpeaking include the native ability to transcribe DSS and DSS Pro (DS2) files but NaturallySpeaking Preferred 4 requires 11.025 kHz 16 bit Mono WAV files which is no longer an option in the Dictation Module (DS-7000) application. The only possibility we currently see would be to use a third-party application like SoundForge to convert each file to the appropriate format. Other than that, we would recommend upgrading NaturallySpeaking. -------------------------
