I haven't used the software in some time, so I've forgotten some things. For example, I just downloaded files (I think it's downloading, not uploading) from my Olympus voice recorder ds-3400 to the dss software. I see a bunch of files with names like ds340133. How do I change the name of the file from those letters and numbers to something I'll be able to recognize like Trip to New Orleans.

Thanks -- Lloyd

From what we can see, the DSS Player Pro application has a somewhat annoying shortcoming when it comes to renaming files. We could not find a way to rename the file from within the application but you can rename files from within the original folder where they are stored. The DSS Player Pro application is simply a graphical interface that allows you to work with your recordings. If you're using the default settings, your original file is located at C:\Users\(your computer name)\Documents\DSSPlayer\Message\FolderA . Just open this folder and right-click on any file you wish to rename. You might even want to put a shortcut on your desktop to speed up the process.
