My question is this.....

dns 11 prem mobile comes with a phillips recorder...does anyone know the model number of this recorder?

also,... if someone just needs a simple recorder to record multiple voices like interviews, and then echo dictate into dns 11 ....is this recorder accurate for this.

i have an olympus 5000 however some friends dont really need the quality of the olympus 5000

they also dont want to pay 500 for a recorder

i dont want to recommend something new that i havent tried myself...any help or comments would be appreciated.

Considering the price of this combo, rest assured that you wouldn't want to use this type of recorder for professional transcription work because it is a low-end consumer recorder. The only digital recorders that are ideally suited to NaturallySpeaking are under the previous link. HOWEVER, as far as a simple recorder for use with Echo Dictation is concerned, nearly any recorder, including this 1, would be very well suited to that task.

The DS-5000 is now $450 and we would be glad to take an extra 10% off but our Olympus contract forbids us from directly advertising discounts on our website. However, your point is well taken. Most $200 recorders would work extremely well for nonprofessional work or Echo Dictation. We only recommend recorders that feature the DS2 algorithms for those who need frequent direct NaturallySpeaking transcriptions.
