Is there a link to a good source which describes all the steps one should take to completely remove IE 7 and any other troublesome (from a DNS point of view) utilities, DLLs, etc.? I know I've seen bits and pieces of such advice from time to time. But now that I want to do that I can't seem to find them. Must be another case of early senility here......

There really is NO WAY to completely remove IE 7 - and get it back to the state it was in prior to installing IE 7 - EXCEPT by using System Restore - per many, many postings on this Forum. (Do a search for IE 7 up at the top of the page).

Thanks for replying, Dana. I did do several searches on IE 7 before requesting help. I never saw a mention of needing to go back to a previous system restore. That option is not realistic for me. Too many other important things would be undone even if it worked. My list of available restore points fall well after I installed IE 7. ------------------------- Cheerily Yours, Tim Beckwith |
