I created a set of commands to be used during transcription into Microsoft Word 2003. These commands, after performing a simple computation, use SendKeys to write a short string. Whenever dictated text follows one of these commands, the cursor unexpectedly jumps back to the previous location before writing the text. I was able to isolate the problem by creating the command, Test Please, which is simply: Sub Main If I dictate the following utterance directly into Microsoft Word, Test Please <pause> here is some text I, of course, get, XYZ here is some text HOWEVER, if I record (into Sound Recorder) the utterance and then have it transcribed (with All Commands selected) into Word, I get, here is some textXYZ Watching carefully, I can see the cursor jump to the previous location before "here is some text" is written. Adding a Wait statement to the end of the command did not solve the problem. Nor did setting the SendKeys flag to True or to False. Even using Word's TypeText method yielded the same result. The problem occurred on two different computers (see specs below) running NaturallySpeaking 9.1/9.5. I get the same result when transcribing into Notepad. Ctfmon.exe has been disabled. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the cause of or solution to this problem? Thank you. Since most of us don't experience the Jumping Cursor problem, that pretty much rules out NaturallySpeaking but rules in a compatibility problem such as a Microsoft Word plug-in or a third-party utility. You either have an add-in or have an incompatible utility which you will have to locate and disable. What we can tell you, with relative certainty, is that you have an incompatible plug-in or utility.
