Question From VoiceRecognition Forum
When asking questions of this type please let us know PRECISELY what NaturallySpeaking product you are using. Example: Standard 8, Preferred 9.5, Pro 7.3, KnowBrainer 2006 etc.. The additional information helps us to focus our response. NaturallySpeaking 9.5 simply isn't quite precise enough. If you don't want to list your specifications in each posting you can optionally update your user profile. For the sake of simplicity we will assume you're using DNS Preferred although the following instructions will also work with DNS Pro: Keep in mind that legally, your “coworker/friend” is obliged to purchase their own license of NaturallySpeaking rather than share yours and the FBI has an entire division assigned to doing nothing but investigating corporations who they suspect might be sharing software. The following is a step-by-step: 1. Click the NaturallySpeaking Words/Export menu and export your vocabulary as a plain text file to an easy to find location such as a thumb drive or desktop. 2. We'll don't believe DNS Preferred has a command export feature but you can simply copy the ~ C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking9\Users\(your username)\current\MyCmds.dat file in Windows XP and ~ C:\ProgramData\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking9\Users\(your username)\current\MyCmds.dat file in Windows Vista. 3. Create a new user profile; including training. 4. Import the previously exported vocabulary via the Words/Import menu. 5. Paste the previously copied MyCmds.dat file into the same address of the new user -------------------------
