I am consistently having trouble getting Word Pad to stop changing degrees, inches and feet into their respective symbols. I have watched DNS transcribe reports, and in the dictation window the words "degrees", "inches", and "feet" are there. However, it seems to be Word Pad that is changing the words back into symbols. I want words. I have gone into the vocabulary editor in DNS and changed the written/spoken forms to what I want, so the problem seems to be in the transformation to Word Pad. Since Word Pad is not a sophisticated word processor, I was unable to find where I might be able to change symbols and words (as in Auto Correct, etc).

Any suggestions? This has me flummoxed and frustrated. My doctor uses degrees, inches and feet frequently. Thanks for your help.

My apologies if this topic has been dealt with before.

Have you tried removing the checkmark from Units of measure under the Formatting tab of NaturallySpeaking's options?

That seems to have done the trick, Lunis. There are so many different places to set parameters that it's hard to catch them all. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
