When I start dictating I'm not getting a capital on the first word of my first sentence.  This happens when I am dictating to Eudora.  Of course it worked here, and it works in Microsoft word.  The rest of the dictation is fine, it will capitalize the first letter of every other sentence.  Is there a way to fix this?

We don't believe Eudora is Select-&-Say capable so NaturallySpeaking doesn't automatically know where the cursor is which means it doesn't know when to capitalize on its own.  Fortunately you have some options:

1.  You can say show Dictation Box and do all of your dictation in the Dictation Box.  Say Transfer to transfer your dictation to Eudora.
2. You can dictate into another Select-&-Say enabled program like DragonPad and cut and paste into Eudora.
3. If you continuously dictate without making corrections, NaturallySpeaking should behave appropriately because it will automatically capitalize the 1st word following a period; if you don't move the cursor until you finish your entire message.  This is easier said than done.
4. Another option is to only dictate phrases that end in punctuation.  If you need to move the cursor into the middle of a sentence or paragraph to make a correction use the KnowBrainer 2007 Resume command which will move the cursor back to the end of the current paragraph and force the 1st letter of the 1st dictated word to appear capitalized.
5. If you suspect that NaturallySpeaking isn't going to properly capitalize the 1st letter of the 1st word following punctuation begin your dictation with the word “Cap”.

Thank you for the reply.  I think I will try what you suggested on number one.  Actually, I just tried it and it worked in this reply.

What is happening is not a big deal it is just and annoyance.  Unfortunately the national lab that I worked at uses Eudora.
