I have both licenses for both DPI and DPG. Originally I used DPI (most recently at 15.3), but then bought DPG 15.6 because I was desperate for the increased stability that Lunis reported DPG 15.6 had (he was very correct).

Now that DPI 15.6 has come out, should I switch?  I.e.  which is better, DPI 15.6 or DPG 15.6?

(I might have expected DPI 15.6 to be more stable, since  more recent than DPG 15.6,  although I might've expected a point release  DPG 15.6.x  to apply any  improvements from DPI 15.6  to the probably  more more money making DPG.)

Eventually I will probably pay to upgrade both DPI and DPG, since there is at least one other person in my family who  should use Dragon -  DPG 15.5 was so unstable I could not recommend that they do so.  So the question is  mostly "should I update DPI and start using it instead of DPG  right now?"

I am a bit concerned because of the fairly large number of issues in the thread DPI 15.6 issues. I have not  done a detailed comparison to see if those issues are present in my copy of DPG 15.6. Although I'm much happier with DPG 15.6 than I was with DPI 15.3, I'm still wrestling with stability problems as you might see from many of my other posts. Mainly long hangs, which I call a stability problem because when they reach five minutes I often have to kill Dragon and restart, using SpeechStart+ RESTART  DRAGON  when it works, but  since  RESTART DRAGON frequently does not work,  I often just have to kill, and sometimes  just plain reboot my PC.   Thereby risking  the infamous profile corruption.

DPI 15 is a stripped-down version of DPG 15 which includes extra perks such as the ability to Roam your user profile and use Dragon on another computer from your computer.

Lunis, is that all DPG 15 has over DPI 15, the ability to remote access with it?

Other than price, there are very few difference between DPG and DPI. In the future, DPG will probably include some cloud options such as being able to use your user profile on any computer but we're not quite there yet.
