I have recently been receiving an error message from Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 15.3.

When I say the command "paste that" I receive a message "SendKeys cancelled" and the details say "At line 1 in script NatSpeak SDK".

Does anyone know a fix for this issue please? It's only been happening for the past week.

Thank you for reading.

Roy

Hey, it's so strange that you post that. I had my first instance the other day. In my case, I had selected almost two pages of a Word document and tried to 'copy that' and 'paste that' by voice. I got the weird message.

The paste worked when I did it manually. I concluded that maybe Dragon didn't like pasting large blocks of text. Maybe it only wants to paste within the visible viewport or something.

Dragon uses a different hard coding approach which is fast and usually works. Of course the keyword is “usually”. KnowBrainer 2017 uses Cut, Copy and Paste because these commands simply deploy the usual keystrokes. There are 3 more reasons…

#1 Ou
r brains are already programmed to say CutCopy and Paste rather than copy that ect.

#2 Dragon prefers to avoid single syllable command names, which is a good idea but there is a problem with the word “that”. For example, if you say delete that
, Dragon may delete the word “that” rather than your last phrase.

#3 Most importantly,
CutCopy and Paste NEVER fail.

To kick it up a notch, not to mention more bulletproof, try saying Copy to Other Window (previous window). Now you're barbecuing with jet fuel

My apologies for the late reply, I appreciate all your comments and advice. Out of interest, the issue seems to have righted itself, thankfully! I can now say "Paste That" and it works, which is great news!

Thanks for reading.
