I am a family practice physician and have the use of 5 computers in my office. I am using Dragon 9.5 with KnowBrainer and TexTALK. Unfortunately when using each computer I have my own user file rather than a roaming file.

therefore my custom words are not the same in each computer is there any way to add them altogether?

is there any way to do that for my command browser?

with the command browser when I import my commands from computer 1 to computed 2 it will override computed 2 . will I lose my commands on computed 2 that are not on computer 1?

Thank you

Chas.

Let's begin by fixing your first problem which is to stop using a different user profile on 5 different computers.  You will find a step-by-step on initiating Roaming a user profile in our Quick Tips.  If you are uncomfortable with Roaming your user files you can optionally relocate them to a thumb drive.

Export your personal vocabulary via the Words/Export menu on your first 4 computers and then reverse the process by utilizing the Words/Import menu on the fifth computer.  Then copy the fifth computers user file to the other 4 computers after you import the commands from your other 4 computers.  This question will be answered in the following paragraph.

Quote:
is there any way to do that for my command browser?

Open your Command Browser and click the Manage button.  Put a check mark in all of the command boxes, click the Export button and follow the promps on computers 1 - 4.  Use a unique name for each computer that you export files from so that you don't make mix them up when you move them to your fifth computer where you will reverse the process via the Command Browser Import button.

When your fifth computer has everything from the previous 4 computers you can copy your user files to the other 4 computers or initiate a Roaming user profile or utilize a thumb drive.  You find step-by-steps on all 3 of these options by looking up the appropriate key word in bold in our previously mentioned Quick Tips.

Lunis,

Thank you so much, I have exported my 4 vocabularies that have , 8, 5, 4, 6 kbs. On a jump drive

the command browser has 517, 514, 509, 502,kbs

Do I need make a new user?

I would like to use computer number one. add the other other 3 vocabularies and other 3 command folders and be able to pick up the new words and command that are unique to each one

can I use my best computer and can I add the other 3 vocabularies and command uses one at a time

Chas

You don't need to create a new user.  Just import the 4 vocabularies, one at a time via the Manage Vocabularies menu, on the fifth computer user and copy that user profile to all of your other computers.
