I was updating my profile and the update box just dissappeared and when I tried to launch the program again, the error box said contact Dragon Nat Spk.  At the top of the box was "Visual C ++ 9.0 Runtime for Dragon Naturally Speaking"  I have been unable to launch it for over a week.  I need it because I have only one hand due a massve stroke.  Please Help

Now it says in the error box "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way"

You could try reinstalling Visual C++ from your Ver. 11 installation disk but unfortunately we recently upgraded to Pro 12 (prerelease) and have forgotten which folder the Visual C++ installation is stored in. Mercifully, Ver. 12 no longer requires Visual C++.

You can also run a repair of NaturallySpeaking from within the Control Panel but unfortunately, we don't believe this will reinstall Visual C++.

Note that if you managed to get NaturallySpeaking running again, please contact us for a complimentary copy of KnowBrainer 2011 which is a third-party command utility that we make freely available for those with physical disabilities.
