Dictating in Word – unwanted space before a period

I have an intermittent problem when dictating between Dragon 11.5 in Microsoft Word – office 2007. From time to time when I dictate ".", The program inserts a space before the punctuation – consistently. This does not seem to happen when I'm dictating in DragonPad – so I hunted in various AutoCorrect places in Word but cannot find a command anywhere that will force a space plus the punctuation.

Any ideas?

1. Does it happen when you are typing? If yes, the problem may relate to Word's normal.dotx file. Close Word, find the file, and delete it. Word will recreate the file next time you launch. You will loose all custom commands you have added, and any key remappings you have done.

2. Check whether the DNS add-in for Word is installed. If no, enable it. If yes, disable it, close Word, launch Word, and re-enable it.

3. Create a new DNS profile from scratch, without training it. Test in Word. If the problem is fixed, open your old profile, export custom words and commands, open the new profile, and import your words and commands. Test again in Word. If everything is still working, ditch your old DNS profile.

Do you experience this problem when continuously dictating or just when correcting/editing?
