I am using DMPE 11.  Today, when I tried opening my user profile Dragon message alert came up "The user profile you have selected cannot be accessed.  This could be because you do not have sufficient privileges to use it or because it is currently being accessed by another program."

I am the Administrator so I have privileges.  This has not happened to me before.  I had to create another User Profile today to use Dragon.  I could not even delete that user profile, same message came up.  (User profile can be seen in CrogramData/Nuance/etc.

Any insights and help appreciated.

There are a number of circumstances under which you can get this particular message alert.

Have you tried doing a full shutdown vs. a restart. There are circumstances under which simply doing a restart won't work, but completely shutting down your system (i.e., turning it completely off) via what is called a cold boot vs. a warm boot sometimes solves the problem.

This may or may not be the source of the problem, but it is one thing that you should check. The alert is generally indicating that something has a hold on your user profiles that prevents you from accessing them. It isn't necessarily related to administrative privileges or rights.
