Noticed that V.11 DMPE misrecognizes dictation as commands when the floating result box appears somewhere far from where the cursor has been placed in the active document.

Manually dragging the result box back to the cursor location corrects the problem, and dictation is again recognized as dictation.

Why would this happen?  How to fix?

We do not experience this issue and we have locked our Results Box to the top left-hand corner of our screen and changed it to display our dictation as in previous versions of Dragon. Are you experiencing this problem in all applications or just 1 specific application? If only 1 application, which application would that be?

I experience misrecognition of dictation as commands immediately after opening and begining to dictate into Dictation Box. Sometimes this results in DNS opening Outlook, or even opening the Vocabulary editor and deleting something. Unpredictable.
I have followed all the corrective measures for Samuri Command mode, unchecking all the boxes as outlined.

When this happens it is as though DNS does not recognize that Dictation Box is the active window.
Perhaps that is why the Result Box shows up (wanders) outside of the Dictation Box and causes all the havoc and unpredictable launches and other mischief.

Locking the Result Box does not fix this problem.

However I have learned that one workaround which always works is: once the Dictation Box is opened, I select the title bar of Dictation Box, then move the box on the desktop, and begin dictating and the problem of misregornized dictation as commands and wandering Result Box is fixed and DNS works properly again.

So in summary, for reasons I do not understand, my cursor position is being misdirected outside of the active Dictation Box window. Clincking within Dictation Box does not fix this, but moving the Dictation Box on the desktop does fix this temporarily each time this is encountered.

I have no clue as to what's going on, but I am wondering about conflicts with other software such as nView on my four monitor set-up.

Problem:
Our best guess is that a rogue Windows utility is taking precedence by effectively moving the Dictation Box to the background. When that happens, NaturallySpeaking reverts to Command Mode because you're no longer in a Full Text Control application. You can verify this by observing the DragonBar green checkmark turning gray. Even if you defeat Samurai Command Mode, you are still stuck with all of NaturallySpeaking's other commands unless you lock NaturallySpeaking into Dictation Mode which has its own drawbacks.

Solution:
The real solution is to track down the utility that's taking precedence over NaturallySpeaking and ending the process but if you can't track down the problem, you may be able to work around the issue by substituting NotePad for the Dictation Box. If you're using KnowBrainer 2011, you can kick it up to another notch by utilizing commands like Transfer which cut all of the text to the clipboard, close Notepad, paste your text into your EMR application, tab to the next field and re-open Notepad, so that you can repeat the procedure. There is nothing like that in the Dictation Box but because you're using DMPE, you also have the ability to to create this type of macro within DMPE yourself.
