So here's the deal.

I used to use ME3 with Andrea USB at home and Samson Airline at work.

Lately I got 3-in1 at work and have been training and running with it.  I added a Mic-in source, deleted my old USB source, and then created a new USB source.

I then got a 6-in1 for at work (just switched out the 3-in1) and brought the 3-in1 home.

I want to delete my home profile, and just replace it with the one I'm using at work.  I tried deleting the profiles at home and then just zipped up my work user profile and tried to unzip it at home.

But at home it is complaining that:

The audio device listed below is required by the user profile: "DerekSamsonBuddy_DgnRenamed".

  Microphone (Andrea PureAudio USB-SA)

Make sure that this audio device is properly installed and configured.

You may change the sound system required by this profile by choosing "Prepare User Profile for Use..." from the Profile menu on the DragonBar.

I'm wondering if I am missing a step, and why it is still remembering the Andrea PureAudio USB (after I deleted all the profiles).

I am hoping to take my trained profile from work and just run with the same profile at home (maybe eventually using Dropbox to keep them in sync)

Derek,

obviously, what you are working with now is a backup of the original user profile automatically created by Dragon, which is indicated by the extension "_DgnRenamed" added to the user name, assuming you didn't name it like that yourself. I would just try to repeat the process at home, meaning, replacing the audio sources, but also make sure that the profile is not corrupted somehow. Or else just create a new one from scratch for use both at work and and at home.

I'm pretty sure I named it "DerekSamsonBuddy_DgnRenamed"

I just want to clear out everything from my home computer and replace it with what I have from my work computer (vocabulary, sources, "training"  I'm wondering if the fact that it prompts me about an old audio source means I've done something wrong.

I think I might place a bet you didn't do that. If you do a search for "_DgnRenamed" in this forum, you will find quite a few threads showing you what's going on, and yes, to me it is obvious that you are doing something wrong. For some years, I have been carrying my user profile back and forth between work and home in a similar fashion, and basically there is nothing to worry about as long as your user profile is in a healthy state.
