Does anyone know how to change the default font in the dictation box?

Click "Settings" in the lower right corner of the Dictation Box.

Since you are using KnowBrainer, another option would be NotePad and the Transfer & Transfer Out commands. In order to use NotePad you have to turn on Word Wrap but unlike the Dictation Box, NotePad remembers every setting change including Window size, Window position, font style and font size. We have a slight preference to NotePad but both choices work well.
