Hi everyone,

We are very excited to announce the launch of DynamicKeyboardOne for Naturally Speaking. This software represents a giant leap forward for speech recognition, particularly in terms of voice automation of repetitive tasks without the need to understand complicated scripting/programming techniques, and one that will make a huge difference in the lives of hands free users. Please check out our website to learn more. The link is below.

The software is currently available on a special introductory offer. It’s only for a limited time so at the very least please check the price and try the software on a free three-week trial. Existing customers will receive an offer via email in the next couple days.

With DynamicKeyboardOne, you can create customized keyboard templates for various programs and tasks. These keyboard templates can be used by anyone to automate programs. But the real innovation for speech recognition users is that creating a keyboard template also creates a voice interface too. So, for example, if someone makes a keyboard template for Microsoft Outlook, the voice user will get a voice control interface for Outlook automatically. This solves a major problem in the voice recognition field in that there are not enough programmers or skilled tech users to write customized voice macros for each and every voice user.  DynamicKeyboardOne solves this problem by allowing any voice user to create their own voice macro to automate all sorts of repetitive and complicated tasks.

DynamicKeyboardOne additionally acts as an incentive to the normal keyboard user to write keyboard templates and allows their work to be used simultaneously by the speech recognition community. It’s a win win for everyone. This is the true innovation behind this program. DynamicKeyboardOne gets the larger public involved in making software voice accessible for all voice users.

There are too many features to list off so please check out our website. Here are a few highlights:

  1. Adds advanced and straightforward scripting abilities to Premium/Preferred versions of Naturally Speaking. Create as many voice commands as you like for any application or task.
  2. No programming skills required to make voice commands (No more complicated Visual Basic). Over 40 different actions available.
  3. Create templates and voice commands for websites too! (requires Internet Explorer add-on which we provide)
  4. Templates can be shared freely.  Full import/export support. We are hosting a template database for users to freely share their creations.
  5. ShowNumbers Plus! functionality built-in.
  6. Innovative ‘Window Tabs’ feature for manipulating windows via voice control.
  7. Taskbar numbering for program switching via voice.
  8. Optional foot pedal. Can be used for toggling microphone, activating show numbers overlay, manipulate the mouse cursor, or performing any action.
  9. Supports Window’s Speech Recognition engine as well as Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
  10. Low cost.

Please check out our website. Watch the video to see it in action and then download the free trial.

Congrats Max, finally!

I can highly recommend this tool to anyone wanting to make their computer-life a bit easier. If you don't use SR you will love the fact that you can have shortkeys for everything (EVERYTHING!) that might otherwise take several steps and time to do. If you do use SR (which is likely since you are here) this enables you to use those shortkeys via speech as well + you can use it in any language (and modify the commands to suit your needs) + it comes with ShowNumberPlus and the great Mouse-Crosshair.

Make any application or game (!) speech enabled in no time + what I really love is the combination of Speech and Keyboard so I can use my shortkeys and commands even if I don't have SR available or don't want to use it.

I've been using it for quite some time now (beta testing) and would not want to miss it.

And please don't forget to share your templates. If you do this we can build a database of templates in no time and people can just download them instead of havin to build their own one.

Got a couple of problems with the trial program and would appreciate some assistance. ShowNumbersPlus is with the program and I can get the numbers up but I can't select them. When I say a number it says that ShowNumbersPlus is not installed and I need to install it. I already have ShowNumbersPlus and if I enable it I have two sets of numbers on the taskbar. So just to be clear when only using ShowNumbersPlus that comes with the program I can't select the numbers even though they appear.

Can you give an example of how the mouse crosshairs might be used by voice?

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for trying DynamicKeyboardOne. Sorry you are having problems but we will get this sorted out.

Can I ask you a big favor. Can you make an account in the DynamicKeyboardOne forum? That way we can discuss the issue at length as it may require a bit of back and forth to figure out what is happening. Here is the forum link:

http://ergoarchitect.com/community/forum.php

The mouse cross hair is not really usable by voice control. It really intended to work with the foot pedal or the keyboard.

DynamicKeyboardOne has ShowNumbers Plus! functionality built in (not totally, though- some features are left out like ctrl/shift click). One improvement we've made is that you no longer need to say 'Left Click '. You can now just say the number. So, it'd be "Show Numbers", "12" instead of "ShowNumbers" "Left Click 12". See if that works. You should also be seeing the ShowNumbers Plus! template when you say 'Show Numbers'. If you are not, there is a problem somewhere else.

If the above suggestion does not work, then we need to do more indepth troubleshooting so please start a thread at the DynamicKeyboardOne forum and we can continue. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have attached an image of the ShowNumbers Plus! template so that you can see what it should look like when you say 'Show Numbers'.

Finally, your old version of ShowNumbers Plus! may be interfering even if you exit it. Go into the preferences, and insure that ShowNumbers Plus! does not load on startup. Then reboot. Once rebooted, start DynamicKeyboardOne and try the show numbers feature.

Hope that helps.

New update everyone! 1.2.1

This one brings a new feature we've be working on for a while and that is Numbered Corners. It's like the Window Tab feature but instead numbers all four corners of every window.

This solves the problem of the window tab being obstructed by another window. Since every window has their four corners numbered, you still know its number. This is a great feature. Try it now.

I attached a screen shot too just in case. You don't need to uninstall previous versions. Just install over it. Preference settings will be reset though but you will keep all your templates/voice commands.

We just released version 1.2.3. This is a big update as we changed the way templates are made. Plus, we fixed a lot of bugs Naturally Speaking users were having. We are having a blast with this new program. You guys are going to be blown away with the templates people are creating. Stay tuned! Here's a screen shot of the new 'edit mode' we've created to speed up template creation.

If you've installed a previous version, exit DynamicKeyboardOne first, and then just install the update. You don't have to uninstall the previous version. Thanks everyone for your continued support!

Max,

I think the potential of this program is enormous, not just in the speech recognition world but for automation of any reasonable sized UI.  For example with something like Adobe Photoshop DynamicKeyboardOne must be a phenomenal timesaver.  Also love the idea of the template library, and probably eventually template shop!

Anyway nice piece of work, good luck with the IPO in a couple of years :-) Anyone who hasn't tried this yet should give it a go.

Lindsay

Thanks Lindsay! I appreciate your support and kind words. You have been a wonderful resource to the voice recognition community so I really appreciate the endorsement. As for a template store, we are focusing on building a community where people freely make and exchange templates. So, no store is in our plans, however, along the same lines we do offer resellers the option of selling their own branded versions of DynamicKeyboardOne. That way they can customize it for whatever industry they are in.

So, let's say you sell radiology software, you could bundle in a custom version of DynamicKeyboardOne that has keyboard templates and voice commands specifically made to enhance and voice automate the radiology software. And so forth. Already we have resellers making templates for engineering, photography, and EMR software. It's not a store but people who sell software and services for a living can sell their own creations. But, for the voice recognition community, we have no plans other than foster collaboration and give people the tools they need to make cool voice interfaces and templates.

As for the IPO, well, once the Facebook IPO dies down a bit, we expect to beat their valuation by a good deal. I'll put you down for a 1,000,000 shares.

Thanks again!
