You will get a new serial number for the new version. Rüdiger

We can't think of any "pay for" upgrades to any applications that wouldn't include a new serial number unless they are free upgrades. Interestingly enough, you can install the upgrade with the previous serial number but it won't activate.

Lunis, While you're correct that attempting to install DNS 11.5 Professional using the Premium serial number will not allow for activation. However, just like the loophole with installing the "Upgrade" version, Nuance also has a loophole, or at least did up to this point, which allows you to install DNS 11.5 Professional over top of DNS 11-11.5 Premium and treats it as if you were simply "upgrading" the current install. This allows you to install Professional 11.5 without having to enter any serial number (i.e., Please wait while Dragon NaturallySpeaking upgrades your software, or something to that effect). This was possible with DNS 10.1, but I've not tried it with DNS 11.5. So, there's no guarantee that this will work, but if so, you can install DNS 11.5 Professional without ever having to reactivate or enter the new serial number. Unless Nuance has fixed this, it's just another hole that they dug for themselves. Chuck Runquist -------------------------
