I currently have home edition DNS and plan to upgrade to premium or professional. Is it possible to keep my user profile or import it to the premium edition?
Thank you |

Welcome to the World’s Most Popular Speech Recognition Forum
1 of the disadvantages of the Home Edition is that you cannot export your vocabulary because the feature doesn't exist. As far as saving your training and pronunciations is concerned, this is relatively minor but since you are staying within the same version, we believe you can install NaturallySpeaking Premium 11.5 Upgrade (currently on sale below our own cost) over the top of the Home Edition and it should upgrade your old user profile. This will only work because you are using the same exact version number of DNS. As an additional perk, we include a hard copy of our new NaturallySpeaking training guide. Note that once we run out of NaturallySpeaking Premium stock, the sale is permanently over because we have decided to discontinue carrying NaturallySpeaking Premium. -------------------------

so if I install the upgrade version you mentioned, would I be able to preserve my custom vocabulary?

We're not 100% certain because we don't offer the Home Edition but we believe it would work. Perhaps more importantly, it's your only option because Home Edition doesn't have an export feature and there would be no other way to preserve your personal vocabulary.
