I'm one of that adventurous people who like to be on the cutting edge. I'm having a problem installing Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 service Pack 1 onto my system. Is anybody experiencing same problem or am I a fool must I go back to my Windows 7.

I don't test it but Windows 8 is beta or "consumer preview". I imagine that first you must install all windows updates before install DNS.

Actually, I think that Windows 8 hasn't any update so you can't install it.

in order to install the required .NET Framework SP1, open the install DVD for 11.5, open the folder named "ISSetupPrerequisites\VCRuntime", and double click on "vcruntime_x64", if you have the 64-bit version of Windows 8, or "vcruntime" if it is the 32-bit version.

Once this is done, you may install DNS 11.5 on Windows 8.
