On many boards they use the button "new topic" instead of "add topic" as here. When I want to start a new topic on boards like that, Explorer 9 usually opens a new tab instead. I have tried to train the command open new topic, but the same thing happens.
Anyone remember how to turn off the tab function in Explorer 9? I have seen it, but cannot find it again. Also it is close to impossible to navigate around looking for things like that without using my hands. ------------------------- Mosken in Oslo, I have used DNS since beginning of 2005. Mosken, However, if you just want links from other programs to open in a new window, try clicking the radio button under "Open links from other programs in:" for "A new window". "About the time we can make the ends meet, somebody moves the ends." Herbert Hoover -------------------------

I spoke too early. I turned the tabs off completely and when I say "open new topic", I still get a new tab instead. So it is impossible to start a new topic without using my hands on my computer mouse. I rebooted my computer to make sure I restarted explorer. Nothing helped. This is really strange! ------------------------- Mosken in Oslo, I have used DNS since beginning of 2005. I am now using DNS pro. 11.5. Mosken, Good, I'm glad it's working for you. I tested it on my system, but I never assume that simply because it works on mine it's going to work on yours, even though that should be the case. That's why we call it Windoze. Sometimes the Microsoft developers fallout of the stupid tree and hit all the branches on the way down. That's just the way Microsoft has always been. Everything works properly for the most part, but you can never be absolutely sure it's going to work for everybody under every condition. Unfortunately, that's the same with Dragon. So, Nuance and Microsoft have been climbing up the stupid tree for a very long time. Nevertheless, I'm glad that this time it worked at your end. Chuck Runquist -------------------------
