I need help in solving this problem.  I spoke with tech support at Nuance with no appreciable benefit.  I first was getting the messages "RPC_E_CANTCALLOUT_INEXTERNALCALL"  and 'NATSPEAK WORD ADDIN' ADD-IN  which stopped with adjustments in the addin section in MS Word --- but still is intermittently crashing and now giving the "MS Word 2007 not responding" message before shutting down.  The accuracy of the transcription also seems to be diminishing.    I had upgraded from Ver. 10 to Ver 11 Home with minimal change, but to the best of my recollection, the problems/crashes started after upgrading to 11.5 Home. Any suggestions for fixing the problem would be greatly appreciated.

                                Welcome to the KnowBrainer Forums

Did you install Ver. 11 over the top of Ver. 10? If so did you upgrade your previous user profile from Ver. 10 to Ver. 11? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, we recommend the following:

1. Uninstall Ver. 11

2. Use
DNS11 Remover to remove every trace of Ver. 11. Note that the reason we requested you start off by uninstalling is so that you do not lose an activation but also note that Remover 11 will also remove your user profile unless you move it to a safe location. However, if your user profile was created by upgrading of Ver. 10 user then the user profile needs to be deleted anyway.

3. Use
DNS10.1 Remover to remove every trace of Ver. 10 from your computer.

4. Reinstall Ver. 11.5 and created new user.

To the best of my recollection, I uninstalled ver. 10 then installed ver. 11.  I am not sure about the upgrading of the user profile.  I did use the downloaded upgrade from Nuance to move from ver. 11 to ver. 11.5.  I do not have a complete disk version of 11.5, just the original ver. 11.  Should I uninstall and start over?

If you are certain that you uninstalled Ver. 10 then it is unnecessary to uninstall Ver. 11 but if you're not certain about the profile, you should create a new one. You can optionally skip training if you just want to test the new profile.

Since Ver. 11.5 is working, there was no problem with downloading and installing the patch to Ver. 11.5. We don't recommend uninstalling unless you think you may have installed over Ver. 10.

Thank you for your suggestions and advice. I am almost positive, 99% sure that I uninstalled ver. 10 before installing ver. 11.   I will try creating a new profile and keep you posted.  Thanks again.
