i'm not complaining, but i just got around to using this at did an accuracy test and to put it simply, i didn't get 2% better accuracy. i can't find this exact problem in the forums. what's wrong anyone? is it just me? my computer?

UniVoice doesn't work better for everyone and you may simply be one of those people. UniVoice is a bit of a wildcard.

possibility of a fix later on? there must be something wrong? are you making any progress on finding the reason univoice doesn't work for some people?

That will probably always be illusive.

I'd really like to figure this out...not to nag, but...what if changed my configurations, registered/ unregistered dlls, changed operating systems, (not really, ha. just an example), uninstalled hardware, changed system files, etc. Do you agree that it is some problem that can at least possibly be fixed, or is it just futile. If it's futile, why do you think this? -U22 ------------------------- DNS Pro 9.5 KB2007Univoice |

UniVoice works exceptionally well for some voices and multiple voices but not all voices so there is really nothing we can do because we are not the developers. All we can do is report our findings to the developer. We've also noted that both the Vista speech engine and the DNS speech engine offer an option to skip general training and learn you go. This is an interesting concept that seems to work well for a lot of people and we're wondering if the future isn't somewhere along that line. We suspect that DNS 10 will venture further into that area which would make UniVoice unnecessary down the road. With DNS Ver. 9 having been released 18 months ago and DNS 10 nowhere in sight, Nuance will have to focus on killer amenities to compete with the Vista speech engine and a universal user profile would be one approach.

Didn't work for me. I quit using it and went back to my original User file - and with my original User file, I get 99% - 100% accuracy whereas with UniVoice, I was lucky if I got 70%!
