The pick command is not working in knowbrainer 2006.  It moves the cursor to the end of the sentence as it is supposed to, the up one paragraph, making it useless.  Can we fix this bug?

We have been struggling with the "Pick <1-10>" commands in Version 9 since it came out. We have 2 basic ways of writing our correction commands but it seems like every time we re-launch NaturallySpeaking, only one of our choices works. We either have to go with SendSystemKeys "{Alt+1}" for Pick 1 or HeardWord "choose","one" for Pick 1.  We went with HeardWord "choose","one" in REV B+ but will probably go back to SendSystemKeys "{Alt+1}" in REV C.  It would be nice if we could get NaturallySpeaking to behave the same way each time it launches L

Why don't you render the "Pick command" inactive in KnowBrainer 2006 and then write one of your own in command browser.  There are many different versions available that all work in command browser.  Quite possibly there are some examples on the old forum... I can't remember just now... it's been too long ago.

Please fix this if at all possible.  I use(d) the pick command all the time and was quite the time saver.  Thanks.

We will be releasing another variation of the Pick <1-10> command in REV C

When using the "pick command" I find that there is quite a time lag before the cursor eventually moves to the end of the paragraph or sentence under construction?  It often means that if I'm not careful I start dictating and I wonder whether there was a way to speed up how the command works?

It depends upon which type of correction you are using; Spell That or Select-&-Say. We found Select-&-Say correction to be exceedingly slow. It can take as long as 4 seconds for the choices to appear and another 4 seconds for the correction to appear even when not using KnowBrainer. We have become so disenchanted with this feature that we turned off Select-&-Say correction but if this is the command you are referring to, open the KnowBrainer Command Browser to default Global Commands, scroll down to the Pick <1To10> command, press the Edit button, delete the Wait 2500 (wait 2.5 seconds) line of code and press the Save button.

If you are referring to Spell That correction click the Down Arrow to the right of the Global Commands, choose Spell and repeat the previous procedure.

One reason why these commands run a little slow is to ensure proper deployment on all systems. This is also one of the reasons why most KnowBrainer commands can be edited by the end-user. Wouldn't it be nice if we could do this with NaturallySpeaking's built-in commands?

As Lunis states, it depends on the end-user's system.

You can experiment with the Wait times and also SendKeys vs. SendSystemKeys.

Here's my version:

if _arg1 = "1" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+1}"
if _arg1 = "2" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+2}"
if _arg1 = "3" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+3}"
if _arg1 = "4" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+4}"
if _arg1 = "5" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+5}"
if _arg1 = "6" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+6}"
if _arg1 = "7" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+7}"
if _arg1 = "8" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+8}"
if _arg1 = "9" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+9}"
if _arg1 = "10" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+10}"
Wait 1000
SendSystemKeys "{Ctrl+Down}"
SendKeys "{Left 2}{End}"
HeardWord "\Caps-Off"

I could probably cut down the Wait time a bit. Otherwise, it's pretty stable and fast enough. I don't remember what the original KB command looks like.

I did the same with the Resume <1to10> command.
