The pick command is not working in knowbrainer 2006. It moves the cursor to the end of the sentence as it is supposed to, the up one paragraph, making it useless. Can we fix this bug?

We have been struggling with the "Pick <1-10>" commands in Version 9 since it came out. We have 2 basic ways of writing our correction commands but it seems like every time we re-launch NaturallySpeaking, only one of our choices works. We either have to go with SendSystemKeys "{Alt+1}" for Pick 1 or HeardWord "choose","one" for Pick 1. We went with HeardWord "choose","one" in REV B+ but will probably go back to SendSystemKeys "{Alt+1}" in REV C. It would be nice if we could get NaturallySpeaking to behave the same way each time it launches L

Why don't you render the "Pick command" inactive in KnowBrainer 2006 and then write one of your own in command browser. There are many different versions available that all work in command browser. Quite possibly there are some examples on the old forum... I can't remember just now... it's been too long ago.

Please fix this if at all possible. I use(d) the pick command all the time and was quite the time saver. Thanks.

When using the "pick command" I find that there is quite a time lag before the cursor eventually moves to the end of the paragraph or sentence under construction? It often means that if I'm not careful I start dictating and I wonder whether there was a way to speed up how the command works?

As Lunis states, it depends on the end-user's system. You can experiment with the Wait times and also SendKeys vs. SendSystemKeys. Here's my version: if _arg1 = "1" then SendSystemKeys "{Alt+1}" I could probably cut down the Wait time a bit. Otherwise, it's pretty stable and fast enough. I don't remember what the original KB command looks like. I did the same with the Resume <1to10> command. ------------------------- 111MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, or Mac Mini --> OS X Leopard --> VMware Fusion --> XP SP2 Home --> KnowBrainer 2007 Command Software, DNS 9.5 Preferred, Steelcase Leap Chair.
