Maybe I have not noticed it before, but today I am in Windows Explorer and trying to double-click a numbered file identified by the SpeechStart Show Flags command. I show the flags and then speak "click 61" and the Dragon recognition box shows the right recognition: "click 61", as it should.

But nothing happens. The flag disappears, but the file is not selected. Ditto for double click - no files or folders are selected or opened.

Does anyone have any ideas about what is happening or how I can fix it. I just rebooted my computer a few hours ago, so corruption seems unlikely. Everything else is working fine.

We just tested by verbally clicking and double-clicking with SHOW Flags and cannot replicate this problem on our systems.

Thanks for trying it out, Lunis. It used to work for me too (and well). I do not know what is happening, but I suppose I will eventually figure it out.

UPDATE: I think the problem was that I just installed an update to a Windows Explorer replacement that I have used for several years (QTTabBar). He lost his source code in a computer disk crash some years ago, and this is the first release since then. He must have recovered it somehow.

Anyhow, I think the new version is not Flag Friendly... :-) Who knows, if it is too painful, I will revert back to the default Windows Explorer.

if that new version turns out to be Flag unfriendly you might want to give Explorer++ a quick try. If it is flag friendly I can provide you with a version of Explorer++ to which I have made significant modifications to make it more user-friendly and completely voice drivable.

[EDIT] I don't have Speechstart so I can't test it myself.
