I use Dragon 10.2 with a blueparrot headset. Have the bluetooth tongle installed. At my office all works well. I have brief due this week so brought my computer/blueparrot home to work this weekend. Computer recognizes the headset & Dragon seems to recognize the microphone on/off. I can dicate into a window within Dragon and the dictation appears, BUT, when I go to the brief in Word and dictate no words appear?!? As far as I know the only difference is I am at home instead of in my office. I am confused, any thoughts appreciated. Thanks, Rod ------------------------- DNS 8.0 Professional, 1.73GHz, 1.99GB |

This is usually caused by one of 2 events. Either you launched Microsoft Word before launching NaturallySpeaking (a no-no) or Microsoft Word has disabled the NaturallySpeaking add-in. If you remembered to launch NaturallySpeaking before Microsoft Word, you will just need to reenable the NaturallySpeaking add-in. You'll find a step-by-step on this process when you look up “Microsoft” in the NaturallySpeaking Quick Tips which, if you are using KnowBrainer 2011 you can launch by saying "Open Quick Tips" or manually clicking the "NaturallySpeaking Quick Tips" link (located under the "Recommend Links" section of this forum) -------------------------

I actually ment to put this into the Dragon forum, sorry. Today back in office I notice that neither my heqadset or Olympus DS 5000 are working in Word, but do work in everything else. I do usually start Word BEFORE Dragon, did not know this was a problem.
I do not have KnowBrainer 2011. Can you briefly tell me how to reenable the Naturally Speaking add-in? Sounds like this is my problem. Thanks for any help. Rod ------------------------- DNS 8.0 Professional, 1.73GHz, 1.99GB |
