(Brought over from DNS section of Forum where posted by mistake) I am trying to write application specific commands. I cannot seem to get KnowBrainer to recognize this application. I tried to click on the "add application" button then immediately move the mouse into the application but it still does not get recognized. What is the correct protocol to achieve this? Currently, I just make the command a " global command" which works. I assume having it as an application specific command would mean that the command could only be triggered while inside that application and that saying the "trigger word" for the command outside the application would just be recognized as dictation. Is that correct? As an aside, writing these commands and eliminating keystrokes and automating functions is a blast!
Whoops! This should have been in the KnowBrainer section. Will copy and paste it there.

It sounds like you are using the recommended procedure but unfortunately, unless we install the same application and attempt to verify your results, we cannot be 100% certain. It usually works but may falter on certain applications names that are spelled oddly.
You can always get away with making your commands global. The advantage of an application-specific command is that it will only work when you are in the application. There's even a Windows specific box so that application-specific commands may only work from within a specific Window. All of your assumptions some correct. -------------------------
