In older versions of Dragon you could say Naturally Speaking and this would activate the Dragonbar so that you could access Tools View/Edit etc by voice.  I can't find a voice command in 11 to do this.  The population that I work with are disabled with little or no had function.

 Thanks

Linda

Linda,

You can say "Switch to Dragon Bar" and this will put the focus on the Dragon bar and from there, you can select either of the menus by voice, "Profile," "Tools," etc.  And from within there, the sub-menus.

Cheers

Linda,

In addition to Tiger's Sage advice and explanation, keep in mind that there are a number of changes in DNS 11-11.5 with regard to accessing various DNS utilities.

For example, in previous versions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking you used to be able to say "open options" or "open formatting" in order to get to the Options or Auto-Formatting dialogs. In DNS 11-11.5 you have to say "show Dragon options" and/or "show Dragon formatting". However, as Tiger points out, you can get to those by selecting those options from the menus on the DragonBar. Knowing reason I point this out is that you may find circumstances and situations where previous DNS commands have changed.

Although Tigers and Chuck's recommendations are rock solid, because you work with the physically disabled you have another option. Please contact us for an NFR copy of KnowBrainer 2011 which, among 11,000 other commands, includes all of the DragonBar commands. For example: If your DragonBar is hiding behind a Window say Show DragonBar to bring it forward and return the cursor to the previous Window. If you want to open the vocabulary editor to just your personal phrases, say Vocabulary Editor. If you want to see every word, say show vocabulary editor (native DNS command). You can click on most menu commands by utilizing WYSWYS (What You See Is What You Say) but if you want to open NaturallySpeaking's options to the Data tab, simply say Data Options.

KnowBrainer is free to the physically disabled and those who assist the physically disabled. It also works with DNS Home Edition on up, includes the ability to verbally create Advanced-Scripting commands and even talks
