After creating desktop shortcuts, they open in a normal window which is about half the size of the screen. When I click on "properties", there is no option for choosing to have the item open with a maximized window. Only shortcuts for actual programs seem to have that option. I've tried dragging the standard window to a maximized size, then closing and reopening the window. But it still opens in the standard size. Any suggestions would be appreciated. ------------------------- |

I use a utility called 'AutoSizer' (you can easily Google it), which I find very effective for keeping things maximised or indeed in whatever size I want them. Plainly the Dragon commands should do the trick - I am just mentioning another [free!] option. Thanks guys. Unfortunately, maximizing, closing, then reopening the window doesn't work for me. I think it has to do with the fact that on occasion I use a free AeroPeek utility for Windows XP, which when employed, makes the focused window one half the screen size, which is the size these problematic windows are opening at. Ed, maybe I'll give your utility a try. Thanks again. DL ------------------------- |
