I need someone's assistance.  Every time I go to export commands from the Command Browser, I end up with a message stating the following:

" The directory you have chosen is reserved by the operating system.  Please choose another directory."

Nothing has changed on my system, with possible exception of Microsoft updates.  I was able to perform this task up until several days ago.

I have tried to export the commands to directories on the root of the hard drive, and almost everywhere in my user account (which is an administrator's account).

My profile does not appear to be contaminated, and everything else appears to be functioning just fine.  I would really like to fix this without having to deep 6 my current profile.  Does anyone have any ideas?

I am running DNS 11.5 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine.  The machine has more than ample hard drive space available, 8 GB of RAM, and an AMD quad core processor.

Have you tried exporting to a USB thumb drive?

Well, it's past the point where we can make any changes in the code, but we can still make changes to the Easter Egg!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Windows. Besides Rüdiger's excellent recommendation, you should also be able to export to your Desktop or Documents folder. You should have full rights to those folders.

David,

In addition to the sage advice from Rüdiger & Lunis, what folder or folders (i.e., by name and location [path]) are you trying to export your custom commands to?

Just curious because that might give us a clue as to why you're having a problem.

Thank you all.

Since the problem occurred, and after I posted this drive for help, the problem has occurred intermittently. It is extremely frustrating.

Rüdiger: I had not tried exporting to a USB drive. Interestingly enough, when I did, it was successful. However, that does not suit my needs as I backup/synchronize files with Dropboxtm.

Lunis: I had encountered the difficulty when exporting to My Documents. Amazingly, exporting to the Desktop worked this time.

Chuck: I attempted to export to:
the root directory
the users directory
my users directory
My Documents (Documents)
and even my Desktop (which seemed to work when I re-tried it a few moments ago, while all other locations did not).

This problem is freakish in that it is intermittent and not consistent in terms of the directory locations that can be accessed.
