when I say "close" in conversation my program turns off. How do I turn off this feature, I use it for online gaming, and I get dumped out of the whole program and have to log back into the program which gets everyone upset that I abandoned them.

Thanks,

wisdomtooth,

While you can disable this by going to the Dragon Options dialog | Miscellaneous tab and remove the checkmark from "Voice enable menus and dialog controls", that's kind of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. However, you can use this approach whenever you are gaming and it will essentially turn the feature off, which simply means that whatever you say "close" in a conversation it won't close your application (game).

However, before you try that, try going to the Dragon Options dialog | Commands tab and put a checkmark in the "Require "Click" to select menus and controls" and see if that works. While this option doesn't turn off access to menus and dialog controls, it does require that you preceded such by saying "click" first. This still retains the option to access menus and dialog controls, but shouldn't interfere with your playing games Re: the problem that you posted. If this works, that's all you need to do. If it still causes you some headaches, then try the first approach.

Murder that when you go back to normal dictation and you want to access menus and dialog controls, you will either need to reverse the process if you selected the first approach, or remember to say, for example, "click file" or "click edit", or "click OK", etc. in order to access your menus and dialog controls in applications.

Hope this helps.
