I have just noticed that in Word 2010 in the word count in the bottom left hand corner of the screen (see attached - "12/204" I find this quite useful, given that I tend to dictate in pretty long utterances, maybe 35 or so words. It means that I can judge more accurately which number is the word I want to correct, if it is closer to the end of the utterance. Maybe it only saves nanoseconds, but it's a new one on me, and I thought it worth sharing. Ed PS Beg pardon, I think it gives the number of words selected minus one! But it still helps.

Ed, I'm quite new to Word 2010, so I appreciate you pointing this out. For whatever its worth, this information is also available if you're using the "Select" commands and/or the Correction menu. In other words, if you tell Dragon to select a part of an utterance it'll tell you how many words you've selected before the /. ------------------------- Eric Wright At work: DNS 12 Pro.
