When I speak the "today's date" command, DNS spits out the date in the "month-day-year" format. The format I normally use is "year-month-day", which is Windows is set to. How can I change the format of the date for that?

Try Sub Main SendKeys Format(Now, " yyyy mmmm dd " ) End Sub or if you prefer the short date "yy mm dd" ------------------------- Jomark |

Jomark’s recommendation would work perfectly if you were using DNS Pro but you do not have an Advanced-Scripting option in DNS Preferred so you cannot re-create this command. To further rub salt into the wound, this command is hardcoded into KnowBrainer which means you do not have access to it and cannot edit it. The reason why the command is hardcoded into KnowBrainer is because KnowBrainer doesn't include a native ability to to script a date command. Unfortunately there is no simple procedure for inserting the date, via KnowBrainer, other than from within applications that support this feature like WordPad and Microsoft Word. This is one of the limitations of DNS Preferred. -------------------------

Lunis, thank you for the information.
Although the command is hardcoded into KnowBrainer, is it possible (in the future) for KB to use the system settings, which in my case are yyyy-mm-dd, instead of a set format ?

I'll pass that request to our programmer but my gut feeling is that it isn't doable.
