I have DNS 11 Premium and KB2010. The command in KB and DNS11 for changing font size of selected text works only in MS Word. I have MS Word 2003 but I primarily use OpenOffice Writer. I wrote a command to change the font size but I have a problem. The first line of my script is this Mouse Right The problem is once this command is triggered the highlighted text becomes unselected and the change font command changes the font for future text. I thought of a possibility of moving the mouse cursor to the text cursor/pointer location but I can't find any command that can do this. The font size option is located on the Right Click menu in OpenOffice Writer, it is also located on a drop down menu on a tab bar but I don't know how to select the tab bar item via DNS command. I got the right click method to actually work, I just need it to work with the selected text and not unselect it when it does the right mouse click. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks.

It's been a long time since I've looked at OpenOffice. Microsoft Office's thorough support for Dragon sucked me in. But I imagine that there is a way to change font size using keyboard commands. An internet search could reveal them to you. A good way to write the script, then, would be to find the keystrokes needed to accomplish your outcome, and then tell DNS or KnowBrainer to press those keys using SendKeys or SendSystemKeys. If you are unable to press keys, you can voice-press them. For example, "press alt foxtrot" will highlight the File menu in several Microsoft applications. Pressing the keys with your voice will also let you "test run" the script, by performing each action step by step before actually commiting them to a macro. Whenever I want to automate a PC task, I think "How would I do this with a keyboard?" and then I start voice pressing. In short, change that first line! There are better scripters than me on this forum who understand how to programatically access various features using more complex scripting statements. They're extremely powerful and they are what truly enable hands-free access. But when in doubt, a sequence of keyboard shortcuts is reliable and quick. It's the beauty of the DNS Pro's Step-by-step editor, and VoicePower's self-programming commands. Edit: Curosity got the better of me and I performed that search. This looks promising: http://openoffice.blogs.com/openoffice/2007/04/creating_keyboa.html It's outdated, but apparently you can create your own keyboard shortcuts in OpenOffice. There's your answer to everything! ------------------------- Eric Wright At work: DNS 12 Pro. At home: DNS 11.5 Pro, KnowBrainer 2011, and Utter Command by RedStart Systems; Dragon Dictate 3 for Mac
