Parrott Full Duplex VXI USB Sound Pod
The Parrott Full Duplex VXI USB Pod (external soundcard) allows you to connect any computer microphone and convert it to a USB audio device by using plug and play standards as well as standard Windows drivers. This ensures high quality audio on any operating system. Used for speech recognition applications, internet telephony and all computer audio applications. Note: We recommend the Full Duplex VXI USB pod for all notebook computers and most desktop systems.
Which USB Pod Should You Use, Half-Duplex or Full-Duplex?
Full-duplex versus half duplex:
Half-duplex USB Pods are designed for microphone input only. Half duplex Pods costs less than full-duplex Pods, are ideally suited to standard microphone user input and don't change your Windows soundcard settings. In most situations, a half-duplex pod is preferable.
Full-duplex USB Pods are designed for simultaneous microphone audio input and audio output; like a standard soundcard. Full-duplex pods are ideally suited to situations where you need the computer to play back through your headset or require VoIP (voice over Internet protocol).
Recommendations:
We recommend the Full Duplex VXI USB pod for use with the TalkPro Xpress and all other microphones. However, if you are using an Andrea ANC 700/750 micropone, Andrea Array microphone, or a Mac computer then the Andrea USB pod is a better choice and more compatible.
The Full Duplex VXI USB Sound Pod is not compatible with the Sennheiser KnowBrainer microphone Headset.
