This microphone has its own sound card built in. You do not need to have a sound card in your system.
It is compatible with Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP and Vista operating systems. Works with Dragon NaturallySpeaking IBM ViaVoice and other sound applications.
Note: Ideal distance from this microphone is 3 to 8 inches.
